I had something similar happen to me few months ago:

I just had this happen to me while trying to lock the doors after lunch. I didn't hear the power door lock go, so I walked back & discovered the truck was completely dead, no power.

Tried using NOCO jumpbox & it was just making clicking sound, but no start. Then couple minutes later there was humming sound from under the hood & power came back on like nothing ever happened.

UPDATE: After getting back to work from lunch, I tried the Ford App remote start couple times & it started up just fine. No problems since.
I haven't had this happen since. Just that one time.

What switches were you flipping?
I first tried the headlights and then went to the horn.
I also was clicking the lock and unlock button on the fob.
About 45 seconds the truck woke up! It didn't stay asleep as long as the first time.
Truck alarm goes off when truck wakes up.
The first time it happened to me, first thought was battery. I popped the hood and started to hook up cables after about 3 mins and the truck woke up.
I am really not sure if turning on switches has anything to do with it waking up faster.
If it happens again, I will do the same thing and report back.
I can live with this as long as I know it will always start back up within mins!

When you tried the headlights and horn - Did they work?

The alarm sounded - because the BCM was not awake to see the transition - to Unlock & Disarm.
When it woke up - it was in a different state than it was when it went to sleep.

Well, all I can say is that it woke up a lot quicker than the first time it happened!
I remember reading here that try flipping some switches to get it to wake.
The only two things I did this time was first turn on (auto mode) off head light twice then I went to the horn and tried to blow it 2 or 3 times and 3 seconds after that the alarm (horn) when off and truck woke up! I really don't know if that had anything to do with it.

First time it happened, I was startled that my new truck was dead! I knew it wasn't the battery. I was kind of in panic mode because I was 2 hrs. from home!
The only thing I did the first time was put the key in and try to start it a couple of times.
It was asleep for at least 5mins., long enough for me to find a boost and when I popped the hood it woke up!

Lucky for my wife, I was with her at school when it happened. I had met her there that day to register school for my daughter. I had ridden my motorcycle that day. We were leaving together when this happened. She was glad I was there!

Guess I will try the same again if it happens again? Any advice? I will post to keep everyone informed. I hope it don't happen again! Not a good feeling when your out of town! This time I was a little closer to home even though we were across state line.
