I am going to get a spray in bed liner as the first mod to my Ranger, the guy who was quoting me a price asked if I wanted to bed holes that are filled with grommets sprayed over, I do not know what the holes are for to give him an answer if I use him. I think the threaded ones are to add an additional tie downs, but the grommet holes I have no idea. And help will be appreciated. I have attached a photo of the drivers side (the passenger side does not have the top hole). From my understanding the bottom holes are for another tie down, I do not know what the middle or top holes are for? Looking at the LED bed system (https://accessories.ford.com/catalog/product/view/id/12367/s/kit-luggage-compartment-lamp/category/198/#) even the product photo has the hole sprayed over the grommets.

I’m not sure what it’s for, but I agree that you should take all grommets out, including the ones on the bulkhead and then put them back in after they are done spraying.
