I’m looking at blacking out my tail lights and side marker lights but going back and forth with which way to go. Spraying them with tint myself, will this damage the light, easy to take off? Actually tinting the lights, more costly? Or just replacing them altogether with different lights? Anyone do this or have advice?

Personally I wouldn't do this...good way to get rear ended...I have additional rear lights for this reason:)

Plus, if there are sensor, won’t that mess them up?
I haven’t tried the taillights yet, but I’ve been using VVivid wrap. Stuff let’s almost all light out but looks blacked out when lights are off. Used it on my markers and was happily surprised.
Just wrap and you can peel off if you have too.

+1 on the vivid wrap. Made a paper template to use as a guide to transfer to the vinyl.

Where do you buy it? I’d like to try it on the markers but I definitely wouldn’t use it on the taillights.

A member posted an Amazon link in another thread a bit down in this same forum Lighting topic. The roll has enough film to probably do 100+ side markers. Maybe I'll chop the extra into sheets and sell on ebay for a few $$ (?)
