Tail lights

I bought diode dynamics bulbs for my tail light and brake light. I unscrewed the main piece, and instead of the 3 bulbs it has one spot. It's a 2020 xlt sport with back up sensors/parking. I still had a hard time trying to get the single bulb out, couldn't do it.

XLT and Lariat models have a sealed LED taillight. There are no user serviceable bulbs.

Correct. XLT and Lariat models use this full LED tail light:

You can't. They are built in, unfortunately. I want to add a strobe on my 3rd brakelight. I will have to use a module.

I don’t know what to tell you, but you just can’t. They are integrated LEDs. Even if you were to bake the assembly and take it apart you would find circuit boards with soldered LEDs.

What is wrong with your lights? Everyone is pretty satisfied with the LED tails on the Ranger.

I know this is an old thread, but I just did the same thing. I ordered some bright LED bulbs off Amazon to replace the reverse lights, rear turns and tails. I wanted brighter, because I'm about to have the rear assemblies wrapped. I thought that we had incandescent bulbs in the rear. I pulled the passenger side assembly, looked at it, said, "Well, f*ck," and put it back in. I guess if I'd have actually looked carefully, it's fairly obvious that they're LED when looking at the turn signals.

At least Amazon has a great return policy! Now, I'll go install the front switchback LED turn signals. I KNOW those stocks are incandescent.
