FNG here.

Picked up a '21 Lariat/FX4 with 5.5k miles. I'm pretty bad about leaving things stock, but I want to try hard this time to not go overboard. Previous vehicles included a heavily modded Tacoma, and more recently a pretty cool Sprinter build.

My goal is to retain the daily driver-ability of this truck, and still enjoy it for some camping/wheeling and getting to trailhead for dirt biking.

With that being said I'm just eyeing a suspension upgrade for level/looks and a better tire and rim combo (just a touch bigger...275??) for my offroad and mountain adventures. I'm really keen on the 5100s, since the reviews seem to fit with my priorities. Time will tell how bad off the deep end I go lol.

You likely just enjoy building rigs, more than having or driving them. Nothing wrong with that at all. That being said, I don't think anything you do to these drugs makes them really better off road and worse on road.

My Tremor is fantastic on road and off road it's limitations are clearance, which you can't change much without butchering them, IMHO.

If I was going to mod suspension, I would get an older Ranger or Toyota. Shrugs

Have fun whatever you decide!

Rigs not Drugs.

The Tremor is lifted a bit from stock, but honestly, I don't think it makes any real difference it in the world.

That's true I guess. I tinker with my motorcycles mostly these days, plenty of enjoyment in that and easier to fix.

Nice rig, congratulations!!! I'm looking upgrading my suspension currently had a Fox and Eibach with 33.3inch tires, but I'm waiting for the Ranger Raptor and maybe use same or type of suspension.

I think you had it right with drugs. We are addicted to our trucks and spend all of our disposable income on them :p
Lol, I'm trying to avoid that! A lot of this stuff looks cool, but realistically I don't go offroading and "overlanding" all that much. All my disposable income goes to the 2 wheeled variety. At least the upgrades are marginally cheaper ha

Got the 5100s installed at SoCal Suspension in El Cajon. 2.5" up front. Planning on sticking with this wheel & tire combo for a bit, or until the gap in the wheel wells drives me crazy.
