Don't need to do any of that....Ford already knows how to build a proper street truck...Why don’t you turn up at Ford and show them your skilled sketches of what the Truck should look like, how it’s to be manufactured , the colour schemes and your predicted unit sales forecast.
do let us know how you get on with the job offer that they beg you to consider as being head of the design team!
They already did it once...
And then Ram even did a proper job when they dropped a high performance Hemi in a short bed truck. GM tried when they threw a 454 in a short bed, and suceeded when they threw a Buick Grand National engine in an S-10.......those were all "sport trucks".
Just throwing some wide fenders on and lowering it does not qualify as a "sport truck"....you can do that to a 1992 Ford F-350 4 door Supercab and all you'd have is a funny looking F-350.
