Yes your friend was quite correct, initially the blockade was done with the best of intentions as initially the worst source of infection was NSW. Largely due to a blunder on the part of a Cruise line, NSW State Health, and Federal Border force all of which blamed each other for what was really just an excellent example of plain poor communication, Private company to State Authority, State Authority, to Federal Authority, resulting in a a whole lot of infected people off a cruise ship being allowed to disembark back into the community instead of into isolation. However as things dragged on it was increasingly obvious that the whole thing was political, and a lot of people lost faith in the whole process, particularly when everyone knew it was like trying to hold back the tide with a wall. The water was always going to find a way around.

Well if you do ever make it over, please drop us a line if you're coming to Queensland, I can show you quite a few great places to go wheeling from mountain tracks, to beaches. And don't forget compared to the US our states are huge, Queensland coast runs from the Gold Coast to almost the Papua New Guinea border 6,973 km (4,333 mi) and out to the Central deserts to the west and tropical Rain forests and the Barrier Reef on the Coast. If there's nothing in there you like there must be something wrong with you.
Well, one of my biggest Aussie bucket list items is to camp near the beach on Fraser/K'Gari Island! That's in Queensland, no?

My one trip to Australia thus far, I was mostly confined to Sydney on the 100th Anniversary of Anzac. I was there with my wife, who had a business trip, and she brought me along because she knew I wanted to see Australia ever since I was a little kid (I absolutely love the old Mad Max movies! ? ) I saw the 4-door Rangers over there too and decided I had to have one, one day. We did get out of Sydney on one day and saw the Blue Mountains. But that was the extent of my time out of the city. By the way, I was amazed by how clean Sydney was.

I told my wife that if I won the lottery over here, I would commission to have an old fourby built to tour Oz with and then have it shipped back stateside. It's the dream!

I’m not the OP, but I do have an ARB Summit front bumper and I’m very happy with it. Very high quality and the shop doing the install (Dixie 4 Wheel Drive in St George, UT) was able to relocate the adaptive cruise control radar and parking sensors, no problem. I haven’t hit anything with it yet, but so far, highly recommend.
Ughhhhhhh. Just a mere two weeks after a road-rager struck my wife's new Bronco Sport on purpose, a young lady drove her Honda into my Ranger while I was on a quick work errand. I estimate $3500 to $5000 in damages to her car, while I'd say I got off pretty damn lucky.

On the downside, I feel a little bad. At the moment of impact, I looked over and saw her, and started screaming obscenities at her. I've been down here in South Florida for two years now and have been involved in three not-at-fault collisions (this being the third incident). I've had it with the shitty drivers down here. They will literally make eye contact with you, and then steer into you because they want to occupy your lane. There is just an unnatural level of selfishness on the roads here, and people are all too willing to risk other people's safety to do stupid crap like turn left from the farthest right lane, across 3 lanes of traffic, to make their turn. (Moments before the collision, I saw some guy do just that, running a red light across 8 lanes collectively.) So, I had enough and started yelling at this young lady.

It turns out, she was pretty cool, calm, and collected about it. She told me that she thought I could see she was trying to get over. She kept a nervous smile on her face and was polite during our whole interaction. She was nice enough that I actually apologized to her for yelling at her and commended her on keeping her cool and not letting anything escalate.

But there is no doubt, though, that she was at fault. And I got off pretty damn lucky.

Did Ford void your warranty when you added the ARB bumper?

I haven't had any need to talk to Ford about my warranty since adding the bumper.

Well that's easy,
Fraser Island is about 2 and a bit hours drive from my place. Well the ferry is anyway, if you take the ferry to Hook point from Inskip beach. That's the southernmost tip and closest point to the mainland and it's literally about a 10 minute ride including loading and unloading. You need to be a good sand driver as there are no actual "roads" in Fraser they are all sand tracks and some of them have some pretty steep climbs, real fun in dry hot weather. You can also get a ferry across from Hervey bay further north but that's a much longer trip and deposits you on the mainland side about halfway up. When camping the main thing is to not leave any food lying around unsupervised or dingoes and goannas will find it and make a mess, lock it in your car or camper. A six foot goanna can make a real mess of a camp site. Think bears if you are from the US.

We were last there in 2020 I tried to upload a couple of pics but the connection isn't playing nice today.

You shouldn't have any warranty issues unless something happens to something directly tied to the bumper. For instance your forward facing parking sensors. They might say that relocating them into the bumper damaged them.

I've become a huge fan of 4wd 24/7 and live their trips to Fraser. I also follow a Facebook page called Bogged at Inskip Point hahahahaha
