Might be interested but curious why no TPMS, can those be added by a tire shop?

I got some aftermarket wheels and had the TPMS sensors swapped over to my new wheels. There’s threads on the forum about getting new TPMS sensors, tire shops can do it but from the little bit I read on here it’s cheaper to order the sensors yourself.

No just wanted a different look on the truck. I bought the truck used from a dealer with 17,000 miles, the dealer had installed brand new tires when they got it, so I drove around on them for the first 5,000 miles I had the truck while saving the money to get the new wheels, tires and lift. The tires themselves are worth almost double what I’m asking. The no TPMS sensors and the fact they’re just taking up space at the house is the reason for the low asking price.

I assume if the TPMS were yanked the tire will need to be rebalanced.

Yea, probably. @Conman50 sounded like he was looking to get TPMS sensors installed into them if he was interested, so I’d assume a tire shop would re-balance the tires after installing sensors. If removing/adding them does indeed throw off the balancing.
