Here's a little video we put together showing off our shop and our shop trucks to include our two new Rangers.

Nice job guys, but there is no way I’m paying $50k for an XL.
It was hard for us to justify a nicer model when we were going to rip everything off of it. But yea, we hear ya. The next one we do will likely be an XLT or better with less mods.

that is 33K plus 15K in parts. You are getting the labor for damn near free.

would be hard pressed to do this yourself for that price.

It's still an XL.

I’m not paying that kind of money for a bone stock, no option truck; ever. In the end it’s a nice build, but it’s an XL and would not even get my consideration.

And those would be over 50k....not 40.

That XL is nicer than any stock XLT or Lariat.
No one is knocking their work, but no, it’s not even close. It lacks nearly everything modern cars should come with and most people expect.

The market for people who are going to go out and pay that kind of money for an XL is exceptionally small. As they stated, an XLT with a little less work would sell better.

Lol. Its a truck. Built for off road. What useless gadget found in XLT is going to improve on intended purpose? Touch screen?

Thousands of folks will buy an XL and do same mods for off road use. And will likely spend more. That is the point.

I’m sure there is someone...but none that I know of on this forum who have purchased their truck for pure off-road purposes. Most purchase their truck to commute and use in things other than just off-road; ergo the want/need for amenities that cannot be had in an XL.

I know a lot of overlanders with really nice Tacos and 4Runners and none of them are base model; even the Jeep crew are better than base.

I bought my ZR2 for off road use. The truck was an off road monster with commute capabilities. I agree, when I purchase my Ranger, I wanted a commute truck with off road capability.
