Doc, money pit was picked cleaner than a thanksgiving turkey carcass on the 3rd day. I’m surprised the insu co didn’t bitch about everything that was removed ?
A lot of insurance companies will complain

Baker City, OR Sinclair this March around 6:00AM in mixed rain and snow I hopped out and was half way done pumping my own before the attendant came out and gave me a dirty look.
I plead ignorance and he went back inside and let me finish.
My dad claims that the law only applies to gasoline (I've never felt a need to verify this claim), so he'll start pumping his own diesel before the attendant bothers to meander on over. I was with him once when he did this and the kid at the station kept insisting that what he was doing was illegal. My dad finally told him to call the cops, which got a confused look from the kid who then wandered off.

Why can't y'all be allowed to pump your own gas? That's weird, nowadays.
That's Oregon. Stupid Democrat Voters vote no on pumping your own gas every time.
I think it is coming up for a vote again for the 10th time.

After a long journey it’s finally over and I’m so glad to be moving on from this mess. I’d like to thank all of you for all the wishes and support and it really did help get me through this. Also thanks to those who messaged me and those who had some VERY kind offers. Like letting me use one of their vehicles if they were closer, picking me up at the airport if I were to fly into their area for a new truck and then there’s Kent @Radioman who kindly reminds me this would’ve never happened in Payson. ?

The dealer here in Spokane Valley is Corwin Ford and I can’t say enough good things about everyone here! My salesman was David Low who was so great to deal with. I saw the truck on their website on 4/16/23 and it said “In Transit” under it. I was in no mood for a young know it all salesman so I looked on their site under “meet our staff” and found the oldest guy in sales. lol I’ve found in the past the “older” guys usually don’t make you go through the BS and are old school and cut right to the chase. His was so true of Dave and he kept in touch with me the whole way through. While it was a way out of the way to travel up to WA it was well worth it especially after going through everything with the accident.

So now I’ll shut up and introduce you to Money Pit 2.

I used to wonder why on earth a person could not be trusted to operate a fuel pump if they were trusted to operate a vehicle. Then cameras became more common on phones.

Plot twist... She's an Oregonian, on vacation in a reasonable state ?

If it wasn't for ridiculous govt policy... she'd be a safer, more useful, more independent member of society ?

It’s been 6 weeks to the day since my accident and we’re heading out soon for a 10:00 am flight to WA to pick up Money Pit 2. Man I miss driving my Ranger and I just hope this one runs as well as the first one did. Good thing I can now start fresh with a new warranty and I’ll have 96K before I have to worry about the transmission going.....?

:inspect: After the inspection we should be in & out fairly quickly since there’s no loan and I don’t need them to go over anything on the truck. I’d bet I know more than they do. Lol I’m hoping to leave there around 2:00 pm and head straight back and I made our first nights stop in La Grange, OR which is roughly 260 miles away. I figure that’ll be a good drive to break it in some and make a few stops along the way. Then the next two days will be about 500 miles each and we should be home late in the day Thursday if all goes well. ? Pics to come of Money Pit 2.
Happy trails and safe travels Dave!

You have all the pieces still? If so you can wick cyanoacrylate glue into the crack. If you use the right kind and right viscosity it will be as strong as the original plastic
