So that’s what I’m doing wrong! Ok, I’ll leave some on the vine just for you Kent, then have them drop-shipped to you. My son has a drone I could probably use. Look to the sky!What a waste of good garden space! Without them taking up room, you could plant more strawberries, or carrots, or onions, or any of the many "good" veggies which is a category in which bell peppers don't fit.
The green bell peppers (good peppers are similar to jalapeno, habanero, or cayenne) will turn red if left on the vine long enough. If left on the vine even longer, they will start to decompose which is the best time to harvest them to add to your composter. There is no other reason to grow bells.
