What a waste of good garden space! Without them taking up room, you could plant more strawberries, or carrots, or onions, or any of the many "good" veggies which is a category in which bell peppers don't fit.

The green bell peppers (good peppers are similar to jalapeno, habanero, or cayenne) will turn red if left on the vine long enough. If left on the vine even longer, they will start to decompose which is the best time to harvest them to add to your composter. There is no other reason to grow bells.
So that’s what I’m doing wrong! Ok, I’ll leave some on the vine just for you Kent, then have them drop-shipped to you. My son has a drone I could probably use. Look to the sky! :giggle:

My, Tracy, I didn't realize you had such a sadistic streak.

I recognize you are doing well growing things in your gardens; I'm just trying to help you out with good advice. So many better veggies could be grown in the area wasted by planting bell peppers.

Dave, I don't believe Tracy will ever show me the dancing turkey. She just doesn't understand how much I am trying to help her.
Tracy is generous with her dancing turkeys - but if you are REALLY special, she will give you the coveted 3 dancing turkeys! :turkey::turkey::turkey:

I would assume Rod, I'm on her list now so until I learn to love bell peppers (that's not happening) and stop teasing her, no turkeys for me let alone 3 of them.

I didn't use to like bell peppers either, but I've learned to like them as I've gotten older.

My first potato harvest. So exciting! It was like looking for Easter eggs.?

Not just tomatoes Kent @Radioman!

I probably did spend more this first season, than if I had just bought the produce. But in the long run, it will pay off.

Also, it’s so relaxing! Great therapy.?

Red potatoes harvested from 2 larger grow bags. Purple potatoes harvested from 3 small grow bags.

Oh, yeah & a tomato picture. We’ve had some70 & 80 degree days & some nights around 46. My tomato plants have whiplash…Yes, my grass needs mowing & no, I’m not going to wash the potatoes yet.?

Today I moved the plants from the grow tent to outside to start hardening them off. Still 40 deg nights so they will have to be shuttled inside at night for a couple more days.
Peppers anyone?

Then some tomatoes and eggplant

hopefully the freezing weather is behind us. With us being the number 2 apple producing area in the US with the buds opened up early a hard freeze can put a hurting on the Apple crop now.
@Tracy Bowman if you like stuffed peppers try growing these ( Peperone di Cuneo ) They are small very thick walled old Italian variety of peppers that are fairly small. Freeze great and make the best stuffed peppers in the winter. Can also be stuffed with things like tuna salad when fresh picked. The seeds can be hard to find though

Beautiful, healthy looking plants, Ed! I’ll have to check on those peppers! :)

Do it! Do it!
A little worried the mayonnaise in the tuna salad would be bad by the time they got to him and really could cause Kent to die :puke:. We need a better internet that can deliver food across the fiber.

Yeah, you’re right, I guess. We need to keep our friend, Kent @Radioman, around. I want him to know how much I appreciate his support…even if he doesn’t like bell peppers! :giggle:
