Awesome! mine are sprouting too. by the end of may they should flower and with luck(and bees) strawberries!!! you just need to keep slugs and birds off themOrdered some rhizomes (never heard of them) from Gurney’s. I was doubtful when they arrived. Not much to look at. But, I planted them & now I have 12 cute little strawberry plants. Thank you, Dave @myothercarizahearse!

Great job. Fresh dug potatoes make the best potato salad. Takes a couple weeks till the sugars turn to starch. My potatoes are going in this week. Red, white, and blue. I am dying for the flavor of a fresh tomato sandwich ?. I gave up keeping track of garden costs because harvesting from your backyard is priceless.My first potato harvest. So exciting! It was like looking for Easter eggs.?

I probably did spend more this first season, than if I had just bought the produce. But in the long run, it will pay off.

Oh, yeah & a tomato picture. We’ve had some70 & 80 degree days & some nights around 46. My tomato plants have whiplash…Yes, my grass needs mowing & no, I’m not going to wash the potatoes yet.?

Nice harvest Tracy. I agree that gardening can be great therapy, I enjoy it. I know you put a lot of effort in you plantings and it shows. The only thing I could possibly criticize is the choice of some (well one) of the veggies you insist on growing.

Those are my favorite too Ed. I'll fry them in a pan with some olive oil and light garlic and chop them up fine and add them to my home made sauce.

What a waste of good garden space! Without them taking up room, you could plant more strawberries, or carrots, or onions, or any of the many "good" veggies which is a category in which bell peppers don't fit.? I wonder what that could be Kent?
