Which power source do you suggest I use to power this 12v submersible pump?

I am going to use a 12 volt submersible pump to pump sap from my collection barrels to my transfer tanks. I was going to use my ATV with quick connects wires to do it, but using my ATV limited how much capacity I can carry.

it struck me I could put two 55 gallon barrels in the back of the Ranger and power it from the truck. There are two choices the power point which is good for 12 volts DC 180 watts ( pump uses 125 watts) or using the 110v AC power point with a 12 volt converter.

The pump would be on for less than 3 minutes (maybe less than 2 minutes) to drain each collection barrel.

Which power source would you use to power the pump?

The bed has the potential for a connection. Many on here have installed this. The connection is already there on the left side rear wheel well up on the frame. Then add this to the power point and attach to your bed sidewall https://whor.us/store/p/advanced-kit?utm_medium=email&utm_source=customer_notification
That is a sweet kit, unfortunately it is sold out and will not be back in stock until May. I need a solution for February.

i think that tells me thought that I could use the 12v power port.

Maybe you can source just the connector that mates to the pigtail on the truck and make a temporary solution until those become back in stock. I have the wolf haus unit and its pretty handy to have.

I found a connector that plugs into the power port that has a 12’ cable with a quick connect end on the other end that can connect to other quick connect cables and a quick connect on/off switch. I just need the door slightly ajar to let the cable out. It will work just fine.

Thanks for the answers, it confirmed with me that the 12v power port will work

@YYCRanger thanks for the shout out. @Swingpure if you are interested I have a few outlets in stock and I will be making more this weekend. I have my products on Etsy now as well under the shop name BilkoAuto. It's just another option if you are interested in getting an outlet quickly. Let me know if you have any questions.
