Ya know life was much more fun and simple back then. As much as I enjoy some of this technology now I wouldn't mind stepping back in time.

I even road a bicycle without a helmet . Although I might not be the sharpest knife in the draw from all the falls but I'm still here. ?

We had one window ac unit in my parents bed room. When it was really hot we'd sleep on the floor in their room in our sleeping bags. Can you imagine kids having to do that today? I love these modern things but they complain now if they don't have a smartphone. I've talked to many who have lived here in AZ their whole life and they didn't have ac back then. Granted it wasn't as hot but I can't imagine not having anything.

That's how I grew up. One window unit, in my parent's bedroom. But I slept on the floor WITHOUT the sleeping bag. (How's that for growing up hard? )
Drank from hose.
Rode bike without helmet.
Played modified baseball (and war games) with horse turds.
All the normal fun stuff you do when you grow up in the middle of nowhere.

Built model kits using real glue !!!
Played with BB Guns..."Watch out, you'll put your eye out" !!!
Played with sling shots..."Watch out, you'll put your eye out"
Played real games, outside...football and baseball...."What was a video game???"
Played outside and never worried about being abducted or "drive by shootings".
Had one family car and...OMG...only one black and white tv that picked up 3 channels.
If lucky, had a little transistor radio.
Had a 50 cent a week allowance that I had to do chores to earn.
"Toys" were my Lincoln Log Set and an Erector Set.

You probably stayed out after dark and they didn't even organize a search party.

- Played out back in the fields and stream running through it..Check
- We had 3 tv channels too but had to manually move the rabbit ears. I thought we were rich when we finally got a motorized antenna on the roof. lol
