Reminds of me when I had the Chevy Volt and EVs were a new thing.

I was supposed to buy some AA batteries and stopped to a gas station. I walked in and took the largest AA battery box they had (12? 24?). Cashier had a bit questioning look as I didn't fill up or anything and only had the batteries. So I told her that "I got electric car and it's running out of juice. Need the batteries for extra 100 miles to get home"..

and she replied wide eyed "You can do that with electric car?!"..

I did not correct her and drove away
