im not a parent, cant really have a say in name calling or bullying situations. when i was a kid bullys got stood up to. they just needed some discipline or positive love. now it seems its more social involvement and telling adults, some sort therapy for parties involved. maybe that works, idk. in my day kids that ran to the teacher were tattle tails or tittybabbies which brought more name calling lol. i had a bully for about an hour. got tired of it, punched him in the snout, he cried holding his nose on the floor and everyone laughed at him lol. we ended up in the principals office together and got a lecture, then forced to shake hands. never had a problem from him again. problem solved. later in high school we became friends. different world with all the online stuff now.

I am not condoning bullying, but to those of us that was bullied, it is truly a character builder. Most kids learned several lessons from bullies:
1) The bigger they are the harder they fall
2) One hit in the nose stopped bullies
3) Bullied people learn not to bully others

I think those are pretty universal when I was a kid. Now days, you can be bullied from the opposite side of the earth. So for those that are being bullied, stop with the social media, it has done nothing but cause issues with children that has never learned to lose a game, think that they are special, or thinks the world revolves around them.

My son decked his first bully his first week of kindergarten. Bully tried to push a little girl off the jungle gym, so he decked him. I have tried to pass my caveman ways to my boys. The last one he destroyed was his freshman year. Kept the telling the school staff about it. They did nothing in spite of all the anti bullying campaigns. So, he fixed it the old fashioned way. Caught a couple days of in school suspension, but everyone in the high school, it's a small country school, left him alone after that.
