I had a visor I painted to match my very first truck, no lights in it though. 1982 Datsun. Here is the only picture I have of it, my entry picture at the very first Petersons Offroad Magazine Jamboree National here in Indy. Came in 3rd in one event.

It would probably cost you 2 mpg.

Very much possible, wonder if it had a long slot on each side if it would help if nothing else to keep the buffeting down

They look good on some vehicles but on others they don't quite "flow" with the design.

Like they look good on the XJ Cherokee but they look awful on the more rounded WJ Grand Cherokee from the same era.

I think the Ranger may be too aerodynamic to get one to look right.

I have one on my Bronco, but of course it's a box so the visor fits its "curves" fine.

In fact, if I look at pics before I had it installed, the truck looks all wrong.

While I suspect it would ding the Ranger MPG, I didn't notice a hit on my Bronco, but then when your MPG is already abysmal you don't really notice it becoming slightly more abysmal.

As far as buffeting, the visors are open along the rear to allow airflow through it.

You can kinda see in the pic where it is attached at the sides and center.

I bet it would take north of 2 mpg depending on the overhang. Travel trailers around here often reduce mileage to 11 mpg +/-. I'm not saying the exterior sun visor scoop would be a barn door but it would definitely cost every fill up.

Will someone please buy this so I can see what it looks like installed? I tend to agree it may not suit the Ranger's rounded lines, and yet I'm still tempted to fork out hundreds of dollars to reduce my MPG. It's an accessory my truck doesn't have. She deserves it!

I just flashed a picture of that to my Ranger....he promptly rolled up the windows, locked the doors, started quivering on his tires. Would not let me back in till I took the photo away !!! Have a feeling if the garage door had been open he would have taken off down the street at high speed, never to be seen again.

this is a poor excuse for a visor but you can get an eyebrow of window tint that some what works.

Even with all the other mods and accessories on that truck, I think it looks weird and out of place. I wouldn't buy it.
You DID ask what we thought...
