2022 Ranger Lariat Super Crew - Both front seats heat manually just fine, but on very cold mornings, I can remotely start the truck and, on entering the truck and engaging the Start button, only the drivers seat heating is on. Not the passenger seat. Manually, both seats heat just fine. Is there a control somewhere I'm missing?

I cant say for sure if there is a setring you can change but most likely what is happening is simple logic set by Ford saying the driver is more important then the passenger!!?

go into your settings on the menu. should be able to find remote start there and the settings for the seats
I apologize for leaving out that I had checked the Remote Start settings. The Climate is on Auto and the seats are on Auto. When it's cold enough, the system warms only the drivers seat and not the passenger seat even though, manually, the heat for the passenger seats turns on and off just fine.

I can't say for sure either, but on the first freezing morning after buying the vehicle just over a week ago, I seem to recall that both seats were warming after I got into the truck and energized the system after a remote start.

I found this post elsewhere in this group and it sounds like what I need: "Today my local dealer reflashed the FCIM with the latest software. For the first time since the vehicle was new, the climate control works as advertised/designed during a remote start event. Very pleased."

When I remote start mine the passenger heater does come on but the button is not illuminated.

Feel the passenger seat and see if it's warm.

Thank you. I'm getting the same result; the passenger seat IS heating while the truck was remotely started, but there's no heating level displayed when the Start button is pressed to initialize the system for driving.

I find with mine that remote starting in cold weather the drivers side is always on when I hit the start button. The passenger side is only on if there is a butt in the seat when I hit the start button.

On mine, the passenger seat always warms up but will go off after I start the truck if no one is in the passenger seat (button is not illuminated)

Mine may do that to, never checked.

I think you just answered my question. I'm confident now that nothing is wrong. As you say, someone has to be in the right seat for the seat heating to stay on. As another poster pointed out, my right seat is indeed heating during remote start/run, but now I see that it goes off when the Start button is engaged because there's no need to continue heating the right seat when no one is sitting it. Thank you. I searched my full owners manual and searched this group and could not find out this information. It's supposed to be cold tonight. I'll test that theory in the ayem but I'm sure you are correct.

So mine will occasionally heat the passengers seat as well as the drivers with remote start. For me it seems to depend on if there was someone in the passenger's seat when the vehicle was last shut off.

Jeeze, I didn't see this as a 'problem', but as a direct question from folks as to how their trucks work.
But, maybe it's a 'joke'.
What do I know?
But, I did learn a bit from the comments as to when I might expect the passenger seat to activate.
I was wondering about that.

My 'confidence' that nothing is wrong has been shattered!

I had my wife sitting in the passenger seat while the truck was running on remote start. I pressed the Start button and, again, only the driver's seat bars lit. The passenger seat had been warming, but no level bars showed. Now, I wonder if the passenger seat heating stays on, or does it go off, after the Start button initiates the truck systems. My dealer will check it out but they have to 'catch it in the act' and I'll bring it in on a cold morning for testing.
