Another FYI for the night, before the tornadoes start.... The pics of the Matte Black sprayed dash pieces turned out looking like pure shit! After they dried, I decided to clean them up again and try some plasti-wrap spray... This turned out worse than the Matte Black spray paint... That mess looked like the old wrinkle paint, but worse :( I used some lacquer thinner to start removing as much of the paint as possible and to my surprise, this not only removed the layers of Black paint, but it also removed the OEM Silver

This area is going to be left open for an edit, that I've been working on all day. I'll post later!

Oh, I also found a way to make the AlphaRex DRL's stay off with the auto light setting turned on. The dimmed DRL white LED's still come on with the parking/headlights though. You can also shut the DRL's completely off, by turning the headlight knob off, to the left, but I've gotten used to the auto light feature, LOL! I'll have to figure out how to get some wire(s) through the firewall to achieve this feature?

I can’t believe the steering wheel is that much of a nightmare. Sure one of the untold number of Aussies who own a Ranger have removed a wheel? I’ll post on some Aus based places and see what I can find out.

I'm not worried about that damn steering wheel anymore, LOL! If you can figure it out, let me know?

Also, since I'm really not a fan of the CF look at all, I'm thinking about just ordering enough Piano Black vinyl to cover the AC vents and also the steering wheel trim piece, since I remarked earlier how much I hate painting and that mishap revealed itself earlier today...

Just came in from the garage. I was removing and sanding the paint off all of those trim pieces from earlier today... Just got super tired, so I might finish them up tomorrow?

This morning, I went out to the garage early, since it was the warmest part of today. Cleaned all of that dried rubber/vinyl mess off, from last nights' disaster. Sanded everything tremendously, 3 different grits this time, instead of only 2000 grit. At this point, I fired up the heater and it got to the 80's in there, I was burning up, LOL! I cleaned every part with Isopropyl alcohol and compressed air. Started with a lite coat/spray of Satin Black. Every 5-10 minutes, I'd spray another lite coat to each part. Everything was looking amazing this time around! Went inside for lunch, came back out and the larger dash piece had 2 huge runs on both top and bottom of the panel and it was also super Glossy, even though I sprayed it Satin....? The piece that holds the power mirror switch turned out great, even to Satin. Other AC vent piece and the center piece were glossy and had some tiny runs, but with that main big piece turning out the way it did, I just decided to quit wasting time and do what I did next... :/

Well...., I guess I should've just done this from the start! I order the 3 main dash trim pieces, from @Benny but for the Lariat, in Vault Gray, just a moment ago. These are the ones that hold the AC vents, pictured in Green below:

I didn't buy the trim piece that goes around the infotainment center, (#11 above), because of what I did below...

Since I dislike Carbon Fiber and everything, I decided to also ordered this, to go with the steering wheel trim piece:

I thought the Vault Gray Lariat trim would look better with the Carbon Fiber bits. Now, I have to figure out which color I'm going to wrap the interior door handle trim in? I ordered some Matte Black vinyl wrap, for the door handle trim. Now, I have to figure out how to remove the door panels or just those trim pieces, so I can take care of them.

I'm also thinking about ordering Belltech's front adjustable control arms and shocks in the near future. If I'd know 2.75"-3" was the recommended max front drop with the control freak front drop, I probably would've held out till the Belltech stuff came out...

Did you use paint for Plastic? ( like they use on the front and rear bumpers) ?

Yep, but it was for plastic. It was Fusion spray paint. Shouldn't have been any humidity in the air, due the my heater hitting 80*+ Yesterday or Friday, I'm almost certain the reason the paint did what it did was because of the humidity... I'm fed up with trying to paint them. Parts have already been ordered, I just hope they're not backordered...

For what it’s worth, this is super easy.

A few screws and she’s off mate. Ignore the mirror stuff in this vid and just cut to the door trim, I had it off in a couple mins. Hope it helps.

Is that you in the video? ? I'll upgrade my door speakers too once I pull the door cards. Do you know if the whole door card needs to be removed to get to that piece of trim off, assuming it comes off? I wish the door handle itself was black too...

Hahaha, no it’s not,? No towing mirrors for me, not in this lifetime.

It’s super easy but, there’s a couple of torx screws and a couple of Philips screws, then pops straight off. Had nine off a few times now.

About 9:30pm, here in north Alabama tonight, (yesterday was damn near 80 degrees), but tonight, it's sooooo cold outside now and this is currently happening...

I took a couple of short videos and the wind howling in the background was eerie sounding, but you cannot hear it in my video :(

I wonder how much worse it'll be tomorrow morning? I'll have to go to work, but maybe we won't have to do much! I hate the cold weather!

I thought Alabama was warm!
About 8-9 months out of the year, we are, but usually January-March are our coldest months and they absolutely suck!

Crazy. I’ve only been to Louisiana down south, in September, and bugger me, was almost as bad as home gets.

August & September are usually our hottest months, reaching around 110F.... So damn hot...
