If anyone familiar with this product? I usually have my detailer do ceramic on my cars but the dealer is offering this at cost as an apology for the delay on delivery. The part that makes it attractive to me is the warranty for dings and dents that comes with it - they'll fix them for free. Same with chips in the outer layer of glass. Covers interior as well.

My question is how does this impact normal detailing to the vehicle? Can ceramic go over it? Graphine? My GF has a similar but different product and warranty on her Crosstrek and it's paid for itself in repairs but I feel like it makes her paint look dull.

There's nothing in the paperwork the dealer provided explaining what the products used actually are and nothing about what you can/can't use on top of it once applied. I couldn't find anything on their website either.

Looking at their website I couldn't find anything that tells the chemical makeup of it. I know that Graphene is compatible with all other finishes and some ceramic coating are not. Depending on the price I would say go for it if they're going to warranty you for dents and dings, just get it in writing.

Sounds a lot like the add on stuff dealers used to try and get you to buy to "protect" your vehicle.
"Paint Saver" was just a fancy name for a wax job, and "fabric protector" for a lot of $$$ was nothing more than you could do yourself for the cost of a $4.00 can of Scotchguard "
No exterior coating like a wax or similar product is going to protect from a flying rock/pebble....your gonna get a ding or paint chip.
Snake Oil !!!
Today's water based paints do not protect as well as the paints in use seveal years ago...they chip and scratch much easier than the older products.
Yeah EPA !
Maybe Plasti Dip the entire exterior !!!
Just looked at their web site for grins n giggles...an antimicrobial coating that bonds with the anti microbial coating that is already applied by the factory...
Will protect your vehicle from Covid, Flu, and the Common Cold !

I'm less interested in the physical protection than the warranty they give for the minor stuff like dings and stains. My concern is that I won't be able to have it detailed correctly once whatever snake oil they apply is on it. I can't find anything about what the actual product they put in the paint is, so unless someone here is familiar and can put my mind at ease, I'll be passing on it. I did manage to get a 10 year bumper to bumper warranty out of them for my wait.

Yeah, I listened to the whole "talk talk" on their site and didn't hear anything about the product itself, it's application, what it's made from.
And, I don't know of any product, short of coating your entire truck with Plasti Dip, that will protect against dings and paint chips.
Glad you got the warranty, maybe have them give you a Swing Away storage box, or a tonneau cover...something you can use.

I think they gamble on the cost to correct a few dings (paint chips aren't covered) or fill chips in the outer glass will cost less than whatever they make on the product itself. I know that the GF product went on in three steps because they gave her the leftover after it was applied but that one didn't say what it was either, outside of the MSDS info.

My dealer had something called Zactec or something like that applied to mine. It was free for 3 years but I had to go back to them every 6 months to have them re apply it. I chose to strip it off and use the 303 Graphene.

Now if it's not expensive and they're going to warranty it against chips and dents it "might" be worth it. What makes me nervous is there's data on this stuff. Personally I wouldn't do it and either get a good ceramic coating done or if you like detailing use the 303 Graphene. It's easy to do, last about 1 year and you could always just PFF the front end if you're concerned with chips.

That's because they use whatever chemical the dealership wants.

Sounds like more of an application company.

OP, I'd give this a hard pass, just like anything else a dealership tries to add on, or says they'll give me at "cost."

they use a lot of colorful language and paint a nice picture of nothing.
Vaporware; there's no "there" there. It appears to me to be a warranty for a warranty. I didn't perceive any actual chemical or process like 3M Protectant which is a clear film.

If you dig a bit deeper, you will find that the Exogloss Company has a grand total of 3 employees !!!
That's it.
One to buy the "secret stuff", one to mix the "secret stuff", and one to run it to UPS !

Now, in addition to my concern that my muffler bearing grease is doing it's job, and my turn signal blinker fluid is up to snuff, I have to worry about the factory applied anti-microbial coating and if it is still protecting my 4 month old Ranger !!!
Will our daily problems never end ???

Steve, You could get the Exoglass and lock yourself inside. This way you'll never have to worry about catching a cold or getting Covid.?
