Like the title says decided to look around at a few trucks yesterday and ended up at the ford dealership after realizing full size trucks have gotten way to big for my liking. I ended up leaving with leaving a with a Cactus Grey Tremor. So saying Hi and prepping you guys for stream of questions I’m sure.

Congrats, it is a fun and capable truck. We were basically in the same spot. Well equipped F150 FX4 was pushing $60k and kinda felt a little on the big side. The XLT Tremor hit the sweet spot for us.

Congrats, pretty cool that the dealer actually had one on the lot for you to check out and purchase. . . Same boat as you, the tremor is more than capable for me when it comes to space, payload, towing, etc. When i started looking at a few f150s at the dealer besides the price for what you get the actual truck just seemed huge. . .plus the tremor ranger is just an awesome put together package overall & great value.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I’m glad to hear that I’m not the only one thats not a fan of of how big the full size trucks have gotten, hell this ranger is huge! I came from an 08 4x4 Colorado reg cab with a mild lift so even this truck is taking some getting use to. I’ll some pics of the Tremor up soon I’m sure but here is the Rado for now

How lucky the dealer had one. I ordered one on July 12th and still waiting for it to come. I haven't even gotten the VIN number yet so it hasn't entered into production either.

I ordered on August 18th and got my VIN# on 9-9-21. You may want to call your Dealer and ask for the VIN and Order#...then you can track it on Ford's page. I am hoping to get a build date any day now....time is running out for 2021 builds.

I'm suspect it's the awful sales rep I got. I've called every week and a half and he acts like I'm bothering him. I've been in sales since 1985 and I've never seen anything like how he acts. Has your dealer said anything about qualifying for the $1000 customer order discount for ordering before 10/04? I brought it up and he immediately said he doubted I would qualify.

Welcome to the club, it's a great truck and you'll love it.

With vehicles, everything is going to have a trade off in some areas. Where I'm at in my life right now, mid size truck made the most sense overall for me as a daily driver/weekend warrior, but there are times I definitely am missing a larger bed and more spacious back seat area and one day I want a truck camper which won't fit on a mid size. Of course if I did buy a full size truck there would be times I'd miss having a smaller truck for narrower off road trails, city driving/parking, fuel efficiency, etc. And then there are times I would love to be driving a new Vette or other mid engine supercar... Can't have it all in one vehicle, need the $$$ to get multiple vehicles...

Yes....$1K rebate for a customer order. Go to Ford's Build and Price page for the Ford Ranger. Find that rebate offer and clip it/print it off. My Dealer is aware of it and said they do a scan and will apply any other rebates at delivery time. You should also call Ford Customer Service....they can also give you your VIN# if it has been created. To track your vehicle on Ford's web page you need the VIN# and the Order#.
