to all LEER CAP owners

UPDATE UPDATE
today I had the cap installed and the paint was a perfect match. HALALUIA!!!
the only downside was that the local dealer said that LEER decided in july some time that they no longer would supply a interior dome light with the cap and it is a 60 dollar option. also the supplied plug for the third brake light was defective and I will have to return tomorrow to get a new one put on as it was the end of the day and they were closing. good grief !!
the body shop that painted the cap went above and beyond to get the colour right and I learned how many shades of blue with my paint code there are. they had 4 shades and had to make up 2 more to get it bang on. they put 2 coates of paint and 2 coates of clear on. when I look at the truck in the sun light it looks like it came from ford with the cap on it. after the brake light gets fixed ill go to walmart and get a battery powered stickup led light for the inside.

Glad to see there was a good ending. Looking forward to pics as I may be switching my bakflip mx4 to a cap from some brand. Undecided though. Would help a ton for camping though.

Yup just one last kick in the nuts from leer.
I ordered the cap on june 7 and it was delivered on july 23. I had no idea about the missing dome light until yesturday when the truck went in for the cap install and the local dealer informed me about the light. Im tired of arguing and fighting with this dealer so I went to the hardware store and picked up a battery pwered led light made by energizer and used velcro to stick it to the inside roof just above the third brake light.it has 2 different beam paterns and is super bright and AAA batteries included. as far as leers dome light they can shove it where the sun dont shine (pun here get it ) im happy with mine. as for the paint job from leer goes, I hope yours turns out better than mine did.

first off I need to explain my situation... Im a 67 year old computer idiot using a 10 year old desktop computer running windows 10 and my phone is a iphone 7. but I can pound on the keyboard pretty fast with 2 fingers. so dont laugh to hard cuz its all up hill for me when you talk computers.
so can I connect my phone to my computer with a cable and transfer the pics that way?

Sorry for your troubles on that Canopy order. I have had about 5 Leer Canopies and they were all excellent. My local, long term and experienced Dealer = great install. Here is the Leer on my current F150. When I get my Ranger....I may go with a SnugTop Brand for a change...if not a Leer for sure.

thats a sharp looking truck. I noticed that your cap sits closer to the cab than mine does. I wonder if thats the difference between the f150 and the ranger. Im not complaining though because it will be easier to clean the rear window of the cab and the front window of the cap. I also like how the rear lid closes against the tailgate so you cant open the tailgate unless you open the rear hatch on the cap first. I like to keep things locked up when im not around.
