Mine are 5/16” 3m tape. The rule of thumb is to use the color of the interior as the color of the stripe. my interior is black and that wouldn’t add the pop I wanted. I felt that silver would match my chrome package nicely, which IMHO did.
Given all the black, I think black would work. You can actually get two tone tape and you could add black/gray.I like it. Think I'm gonna have to make the change and remove the big hockey stick decal/stripe and go with a more subtle pin stripe. Not sure on color though. Magnetic or black? Wish I could see a mock up of both.
I like the lightning blue color. It's almost the exact same color as my Harley, which has silver flames pinstriped. So figure use the blue on silver.
i thought about doing the hood and may still. I tried to do it in a poorly lit garage when it was 95*. Sweat pouring off and I said screw it. The shop that installed mine highly recommend the 3m tape. My roll came with 150’, so I have plenty. I think my tape cost $40 and my shop charged me $40 to put it on.Went old school pinstripe tape ; put on myself because I have done so many in the past . Real easy just takes right amount of stretching as you apply . I used 1/4 inch Prostripe brand available in most chain auto parts stores . Like Jon 54 said match interior , black does and added red for more pop . Might go crazy with 3rd color silver .
Prostripe 5 bucks for 40 ft. . Seems a little more flexible than 3m tape making it an easier job . It is good they lasted forever on my other vehicles . But 3m will also last .

When I first started looking for a new truck, I looked at the F-150's and really liked the stripe scheme that they used on the sides of the XL for the STX Sport Special Edition Appearence- think they where silver and blackThat looks very good.
