Need help to remove mirror caps

I hope someone out there can help me with this task. I want to replace the outside mirror skull caps on my 2019 Ranger XLT but cannot find any details on the process to do so. After several days of exhaustive internet searches I have all but given up. I've found instructions for every make and model of vehicle EXCEPT the Ranger. If you have removed the caps on your truck could you help me out with some guidance. Would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ok, so I tried to "pop" off a cap and it wouldn't even budge. Should I be prying up on the pry tool or down? I'm afraid that I will end up breaking more than I care to.

I honestly don't remember - I did that probably a year ago now. I just remember feeling like I was going to break something and then it finally popped off (I just did the one). Maybe someone else can provide some more guidance. Once you figure out where/how to do it, it seemed like it was easier the second time.
