Yah, I was just looking at a local dealer that has them in stock for about $10 more than Dahlonega. It's tempting to pull the trigger, but I told the wife I'd curb the spending for a bit - just bought a Bed Rug for the truck that should be here today or tomorrow (not to mention the leveling kit I still don't have). But I'm having a hard time not buying that RI. Oh, the temptation!
That's a good price locally. One downside here is our sales tax is 8.8% so for me it saves me money buying online, usually enough to get another mag or two.

I'm glad I bought my Ranger stuff last year because it would be tough deciding which ones to prioritize. lol Those bed rugs are really nice and once I finally retire I'm going to put one in but I'd kill it now with all the stuff I haul around for work. I was lucky to still be busy working so I was able to spend my stimulus check on necessities....more guns and ammo. ?

Got the Sig P365 XL today and boy this is a really nice gun! It feels just perfect in your hand light but not to light and very well balanced. I really like the high cut beavertail which is a little deeper than the Shield. The web of your hand fits in there tight almost like a 1911. I have to put 400-500 rounds through it first but his just may be my new carry gun.

Is it me or do any of you still get that big ole stupid grin every time you buy a new gun? ?

Very minimal length difference from the Shield.

I'm trying to get the wife to let go of the LCPII that's at Ruger repair dept and go with a Glock 42.

I really like and want the Glock 42.
Her friend has one that I shot last Thurs. Very, very nice.
Hell, I haven't received the Kahr MK9 and
P 380 yet and I want to trade in the LCPII for a Glock 42.. ?

@BDoc I didn't want to hijack the other thread but there are a bunch of those in stock and still reasonably priced. All the 9mm ones are out of stock though. I've bought a few guns from Dahlonega Armory and they've been really good to deal with. Here's a list where you can find then and the prices....when you're ready. lol ;)

I decided I want a 45 cal 1911 budget gun.....I prefer the officers version with the shorter barrel. Getting some good pricing for the Tarus. Watch a few YouTube vids and they all say the Tarus is a good buy. Probably sell the Kimber micro 9. I have a Kahr PM9 coming and a SW Bodyguard. I still want a 1911 style Taurus in the Commander or Officer size I don't want a 5" barrel.

You're already selling the Kimber??? You sure don't hold onto them all that long. lol But that's coming from someone who has separation issues. ? If I didn't already have a Micro 1911 I'd buy it from you.

Seriously though I love my Kimber and don't think I'd ever sell it. Matter of fact I'm wanting the Kimber KHX Pro 4" with the CT laser grips but I need to cool it for a while! No really I do!!

I think you should look at the Rock Island that Bryan wants. I was all set to get the same one in 9mm but they went out of stock everywhere. For the money you can't beat the RI and Taurus doesn't have the best customer service. I have a friend who had nothing but problems with his and got the run a round from Taurus which put me off from ever buying one. I've heard similar stories on other gun forums too. When it comes to 1911's I'd look at the Springfield's,Kimber,Sig,S&W and Rock Island. Unless you want to spend some big money on a Dan Wesson or Les Baer Custom. The heck with a gold watch,I have my eye on one as a retirement present to myself one day.

The guy's name is Steve. He's semi retired but will order guns if not in stock.
I asked him about the G42 and he would check with his distributors. He found one with the G42 and it will take about a week for him to get it and another few days to ship to me. $399.
I bought an in stock Kahr P380 ($499 free shipping) from him and I'm getting that one looks like tomorrow.

Ruger's quick repair on the wife's LCPII

The Ruger breakdown pin kept popping out some, many jams, then trigger was dead and a spring wouldn't let me close the slide to lock.

No confidence in this LCPII and the main reason in buying the Glock 42. Though, I wanted one.
I will put 200 rounds into the LCPII when it comes back but confidence will only be raised a bit. The gun may see Cabela's used Gun Library.

This is an email I received from Ruge today.

Don't give up it just yet. I had a problem with my Kimber right off the bat but since I got it back it's been flawless. I have about 400 rounds through it with zero issues. Anything we buy can have problems but it's how the manufacturer handles it that's important to me whether it be our Rangers or a firearm. If you can run 500 rounds through it with no issues I would say you're GTG.

BTW...You're just fooling yourself if you think you're done! lol

I hope the LCPII still has issues. So my wife will bust my balls less for buying the G42.

Doug,I got mine at Smoky Mountain Guns which is in TN too. Free shipping and no sales tax and it came with both mags. Sig is only shipping out newer batches with 1 mag right now and giving you a voucher for the 2nd (free) one when they can resume full staff and get caught up. You can get the Mossberg from Academy Sports and the XL from Smoky Mountain. ;)

I don't think I'm going to trade the Kimber. I like that little gun too much I like it better than the Sig. So I have a Kahr PM9 and a SW Bodyguard coming in. Hoping the BG is good for Summer carry. Im keeping the Kimber. I won't get much for it and it has a grip laser.

The ONLY (sure...) gun I want going forward is a 1911 Commander model for less than $500. IT would be .45 cal. I don't want the 9mm version. I sold the MP15/22 for $60 less that I paid and bought the MP 15/.223 for a tad over $500. I have 8 filled 30rd mags ready to go.

So I'm in the hunt for a 1911 Officer or Commander .45. I didn't take tourists out of the mix because a lot of reviews have said the Taurus is really a good gun for the money. The key is for the money. I I'm not going to spend $1,000 for a gun. The Hobby hasn't bit me that bad. I'm always looking to get a good deal. I bought my bodyguard and the Kahr on gunbroker.com. The problem with having these guns they're hard to get rid of unless you want to take a loss and let somebody else pay your wholesale and sell it for retail.

I have to find out how to sell on GunBroker. I don't mind a used gun if I see it first. Since I keep my guns immaculate, I'll know if somebody else did the same. I know I could sell on Craigslist before I get caught...LOL

I'm glad you're keeping the Kimber, they're really good guns! I have an account on Gunbroker but haven't sold or bought anything on there. Most times they're over-priced but I have seen a few good ones for sale. With that said seeing as they're usually higher you could try listing yours on there and maybe get most/all your money back.

That Rock Island is probably your best bet for the money. Look at their site and find one you like then check out gun.deals?

https://armscor.com/firearms/ria/rock-series/

I'd stay away from Craigslist. lol

There's also www.armslist.com which I've bought some accessories on but never a gun.
