Starting this thread for anyone who may be looking for some ideas or questions. Also just to throw up what I’ve been keeping myself busy with in the new year. Going on three months with with my 2019 Ranger XLT Fx4 with the sports package. So far I’ve loved everything about the new rangers. Since I picked her up I’ve had a chance to install the rough country 2.5 inch leveling kit, BD trims American Flag ranger letter, 265/75/17 nitto ridge grapplers, and the stage 3 motor sports raptor style grille. I recently picked up a MBRP cat back ground dump exhaust so as soon as that comes in I’ll throw it on. I will also be doing a full paint correction and ceramic coating that will truly make it a “black mirror”. Whenever something else catches my eye I will be sure to add it to the thread.

My exhaust came in but I am still waiting for a nice day to put it on. Fingers crossed this weekend It will go on. But I did finally do a paint correction and ceramic coating which does wonders for a black truck. I think it came out great and really makes this truck a “black mirror”. And when you see the picture of my older ranger that’s the reflection off my passenger door. So mirror achieved.

Looks awesome. My poor black ranger has to sit outdoors under pine trees, wife gets the garage! I just ordered a huge sun shade to try and keep it covered. Maybe then I will clean mine up like yours. What did you use for the paint correction to get that mirror finish?

All McGuires products cut&final polish. Hit a cut with a microfiber pad. Two passes with an orange pad. Then moved to final polish with two passes of a green pad and again with final polish on a red pad. I can’t remember the name of the ceramic we used. I can check and reply back tomorrow.

22193. I see Dale City in the VFD so if that’s you thanks for serving the county.
I’m actually a good ways south of Dale City. My uncle details big trucks, fire engines, and anything else that gets brought by. They dropped that big boy off while we were working on mine. Had a chance to check out your profile, your truck looks awesome!

Working from home does have some advantages. I’ve had a chance to do a little more work on my ‘89. Got the new dash cover in and it looks great. Need to dye the bottom half to make it all look uniform got some light bars put on and cleaned up all the wiring. Waiting for my switch mount to be finished up so I can mount it in the spot the ash tray would normally occupy. Still have a long way to go but steady drip wears the stone

Nice job on your truck! Black paint is a tough one to keep that blemish free mirror like shine. You look off to a great start!

I would be interested in what ceramic you used.

I have wolfgangs ceramic coating ready to install on my blue ranger. I’m waiting for a string of nice days I can work slowly and not have freezing fingers.
