Wife's Edge Wiper Control Weirdness

Driving my wife's '19 Ford Edge today in light rain. The intermittent wiper control seems really wacked. On the lowest setting it seems to run like it is on the second to highest setting. Bump it up one notch, and it runs like it is on the highest setting. It also seems to have a mind of it's own, changing the delay a few seconds at will. Does anybody know what to check, or a good Edge forum to go to?

I had to replace the wiper control in the column on my '14 Edge for a similar issue. It's not too bad to do.
