1. Technically Window Tint on the Front Glass is Illegal in almost every area I've checked. (Below AS1)
2. Almost all of the laws were written in EARLY 1990s.
3. The spirit of the law is to prevent DARK windows for night driving / seeing inside the vehicle.
4. Every Shop will ask "Do you care if you stay legal?" and almost everyone will say "LOL NO."
5. $99 anything, is sketchy. If you're not spending at least $150 on your front windshield, I am not sure what kind of product you're getting.
6. My recommendation is to keep your sides/rear light enough that no one is going to even question the rest of the car. (Avoid Scrutiny).
7. Pay for the better material. Sure, even 14% IR penetration is going to EVENTUALLY heat up the car, but it's a lot slower than 70%+ IR penetration.
