VW Headlight Calibration?

This seems to be such a good forum. But shouldn't there be a rule against even mentioning these things? Or that freak ? that owns that (dis)organization?

Yesterday I watched a guy start up his late model VW, model unknown, sort of a crossover maybe. When he started it, the headlights seem to have a mind of their own. He was parked close to a building and the beams seemed to go down, up, left, right before settlling in what seemed a perfectaly aimed postition. Then I wondered if they went side to side, do they turn on a curve? Anyone know what VW headlight technology is?

Adaptive headlights. We'll have them soon - by 2024.
