Wow... there is no way I could trim it down to ten songs. Instead, I've listed 10 songs to represent the mix of music I like.

Tall Cool Woman - Hollies
Two Doors Down - Dwight Yoakam
Pink - Aerosmith
I'd Love to Change the World - Ten Years After
The King is Gone - George Jones
Hey Bull Dog - Beatles
The Last Resort - Eagles
Cowboy - Kid Rock
Tupelo Honey - Van Morrison
Cocaine Blues - Johnny Cash

Bonus songs

Boom Boom - John Lee Hooker
At Last - Etta James
Brick House - The Commodores
A Pirates Life at 40 - Jimmy Buffett
Call Me the Breeze - Lynyrd Skynyrd

Even as I write out this list I have so many more popping in my head that are absolute gems to me. Too many to list.

My musical tastes have been described as eclectic, but I don't think that term is broad enough.

Not numbered but random:

Anything by Petra, with a possible favorite of You Are My Rock or Test Of Time
Anything by Mylon and Broken Heart, with a possible favorite of I Will Rejoice or Turn The Tables

And now I'll switch gears:

Amethystium: Autumn Interlude
Yanni: Within Attraction, Marching Season, or Keys To Imagination
Balligomingo: Sweet Allure (this always makes me think of a James Bond theme)
Smithereens: Behind The Wall Of Sleep or Only A Memory
Nightwish: For The Heart I Once Had or Nemo
Kansas: Relentless or Carry On Wayward Son
Billy Thorpe: Children Of The Sun
Styx: Blue Collar Man
I like Billy Thorpe. Children of the Sun is great on a good stereo or high level phones.

For me it would be easiest to list my top artists/bands.
1. Pink Floyd/David Gilmour
2. Genesis/Peter Gabriel/Phil
3. Led Zepplin/Robert Plant
4. Rush
5. Dire Straits
6. The Cars
7. Collective Soul
8. AC/DC
9. Montrose
10. Metallica
11. Steely Dan
12. Supertramp

Still hard list to nail down. I have a wide range of music I like. Synth music, jazz, techno etc. Not a fan of Rap, Country, Modern pop.

Special noteworthy album Frank Zappa's Joe's Garage.

I use Tidal service myself and also still have a Ipod classic with over 5K songs in the truck too. At times I will use my Meze Classic 99's with a Audioquest Dragonfly Red DAC. The sound is amazing.

That's my kind of list. Super random, super varied.

I know tastes change over time, but what’re your top ten songs right now?
Emphasis on right now. I'm not making making an all time greats list, this is more of a heavy rotation list. I love all decades, including 60's, 70's and 80's, but for the most part I listen to much newer stuff - a lot of it obscure.

Top 10 Zaph rotation - And some of these I guarantee you never heard of.

Machineheart - Speak in tongues
Pixies - Ana
Clutch - Spacegrass
Wolf Alice - Storms
Ghost - Call me little Sunshine
The Naked and Famous - Hearts Like Ours
Charles Berthoud - Mad World
Kanute - Tangle Me
Flame on Fire - Without Me
Dum Dum Girls - Coming Down

Charles skills are incredible. Then I'm sure your boy watches Davie504 also. It's a unique category of what I call "bass comedy". Insanely skilled, but music wise I find Charles more listenable.

Oh, he does.

And his opinion mirrors yours.

He used to watch Davie more but then discovered Charles when they had their friendly competition.
