Stole the tool box out of my Colorado today. Since the Colorado has a tonneau and the Ranger has no exterior storage, this made the most sense (at least until the Ranger gets a cover). This is how I installed it in the Colorado and things just worked out perfect. With these hooks, the box is installed semi-permanently. It's not going to walk away unless you unlock the box and bring an adjustable wrench.

I like it but a thief will have the tools necessary to get what they want unless it's permanently mounted. I bought locks for my cargo trailer that were bolt cutter proof....so they cut the hasps to get in.
