I sit corrected !
No problems, both Ford and GM (and Chrysler) when they manufactured here were given a fairly free hand to develop and manufacture products for the local market, many of which were unique and never left our shores, or as I said earlier were sold into other RHD markets and thus never seen in the US or Canada.

Whereas Toyotas built here were virtually identical to Toyotas built in Japan.

You guys however should have got the Barra engine you would have loved it it, was truly a local product.
Whereas our V8's were just locally made versions of yours.

Makes sense it would run good if its not available in the USA , Ford HATES the USA , always has , sends the best and coolest to the rest of the planet while the USA (Its birthplace ) gets Pinto's and Fiestas ...

Not to quibble, but I saw Fiestas in Europe for a good 20 years before I ever saw them in N. Am., and some of the older ones that I used to see were older than me! I will give you the Pintos, though; I've never seen one outside of the US.

Europe simply has small cars and a lot of narrow roads in the rural areas, esp UK. No US big Iron when I was there years ago.
