My dealer didn't show me nor explain FordPass at purchase. I learned about it plundering through your posts on this forum. Long story short: I'm hooked up now and VERY happy about the remote start and lock features! Thanks again!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Yeah the ford pass app is pretty awesome when it works.

I remote start nearly everyday with it, either scheduled or on the fly. I’d say it works 3/5 times. Not sure if it’s my phone, the app, my WiFi, the truck, or if I fart next to the phone why it doesn’t work when it doesn’t work.

Does the key still have to be in the ignition to drive it after a remote start? In other words it wouldn't save you in a 'lost key' situation would it?

Yes, it won’t let you drive until the key is in the ignition or detected for the lariat guys. If you lose your key you can use the app to live in it and turn it on for 15-30 minutes at the time to warm up, but you won’t be driving. Haha
