Hi I have a 2019 ranger xlt 3.2l diesel. It has a double decker fusebox in the engine bay - T6. I have a couple of fuses in he top level that are loose. I want to take apart the fuse box itself to tighten up those contacts. As with all this kind of stuff if you don't know how to take it apart you run the risk of breaking tabs etc.

1) is it possible to take the box apart to access the top level fuse pins?
2) How do I take it apart?

Many thanks

HI Paul,

Not being familiar with a non North American Ranger, I do not know the differences or similarity to a NA Ranger and cannot, unfortunately help you. The NA Ranger has tabs that can be released to access the high voltage box as I think folks refer to it as it has high amperage fuses.

Good Luck!
Phil

Thanks Phil. I am not sure we are talking about the same thing. I am asking about getting into the internals of the fuse box. The whole unit can be removed by taking off two huge connectors with lots of wires/connections at the top and one power in connector - 13mm nut on post. Then there are two clips that hold the unit in place and you end up with a rectangular box in your hands with a t shaped cover over relays and micro fuses and a bottom cover over other fuses - little square ones that I don't recognise. The question is how to get into the top half of it. Like most fuse boxes there is a perforated plastic sheet that the fuses seat into. Under that there are metal contacts/sockets or pins that grip the spades on the microfuses. I want to get at the metal bits for the top section under the plastic perforated sheet.

Cheers Paul
