I was looking through some old photos and I came across some neat stuff.
First, I took this back in 2015 in Sydney. I fell in love with the 4-door Rangers back then when I saw them all over in Australia!
And then, this was actually my old UC police vehicle. I was in an unmarked Crown Vic, but it was really impractical for what I do at work. I was having to haul weapons and ammunition back and forth and getting stuff in and out of the back seat or trunk of that Vic was a PITA! I also wanted something in 4x4 for some of the stuff I had to do at work. I poked around behind our county's fleet management facility and found this old Ranger had been put out to pasture for retirement. It had been a county building inspectors vehicle, and was covered in red clay, both inside and outside. It had lived a HARD life driving though muddy construction sites. My boss was cool with my "procuring" it. We put police lights in it, and the guys at fleet put bigger tires on it, and adjusted the suspension for a little more height. It was awesome! Running code in it (lights and sirens) always got attention. HAHAHAHA
