Question about rim widths.
Let me preface this with, I'm a bike nerd. I understand tires and wheels very well. I build them, I ride them, I teach others. In bike world, tire profile is usually improved with wider rims, especially when mountain biking. So I'm spec'ing out new rims and tires and I'm here to ask about rim width.
I've got crash bars removed and looking at -18 ~ -20 offset rims. Is there an upper limit to rim width I need to keep in mind? I do not want to modify my Ranger for more clearances, removing crash bars was enough for me.
Is 10inch rim width going to cause me any problems with 285/70/17?
