Replacing factory 8” stereo

Hey guys this is more of something I’ve just been kinda half ass thinking about but have only been told not to do it. I’m just wondering if anyone has and is there any possible way to keep your climate control features and any other gremlins that would come up. I just think the inside needs a bit of a tech upgrade to really seal the deal on the build. I don’t have the b&o audio if that makes a difference

I think the factory deck is much higher quality and will last longer. You could always just have a shop fab a mount and hide the oem head with a tablet.

Not that it completely rules it out, but Crutchfield says no aftermarket head units will work with B&O trucks and they list six that work with non-B&O 8". They say none will allow back up camera to function and that " other factory features may be lost".
