Please keep us posted. You are not the only one that needs to be informed, as it sounds like there is no documentation on this feature :inspect: and based on the responses here, does not seem to be consistent across the board??

So mine will occasionally heat the passengers seat as well as the drivers with remote start. For me it seems to depend on if there was someone in the passenger's seat when the vehicle was last shut off.
I have noticed that mine may do this, too. I'll admit, I don't reach over to feel the passenger's seat to see if it's warming. But the lights on the dash for the seat heater usually don't come on. But very occasionally, they do. I think it remembers if there was a butt in the seat when it was turned off last.

I've also noticed that the driver's seat doesn't always come on when I want it. should probably dig into settings to see if there's a temp cutoff for turning the seats on.

My 2020 SCREW Lariat FX4 turns on both seat heaters when I remote start if it is under a certain temp outside . I don't remember the temp but this morning it was 37 and both were on . I always reach over and turn the passenger control off but never let it just stay on to see if it will go off when I start moving . Hmmmm

I wonder if it is activated independently by how warm you have the passenger side vents set to ?

@donsmith Have you taken into account the fact that the heaters remember their previous setting.

The behavior I would expect (though admittedly not tested yet.)
If the passenger seat heater was on when I turned the car off, then I remote start on a cold morning, the seat heater should warm and stay on when I start the car.

I have a '19. This is what happens when I remote start. If it was left on from the previous drive it will be on when I hit the start button. If it wasnt on previously then the seat will be warm from the remote start but it won't be on after hitting the start button.

Not entirely sure if the wire harness matters but those with auto ac can swap oem heated seat buttons and the remote start will turn it on automatically.

My seats are only warm in the summer daylight hours. They are cold in the winter at night. Normal, no worries.
