Recall alert: Ford recalls 350K vehicles; owners of 39K SUVS told to park outside

Ford has issued three recalls that affect nearly 350,000 vehicles, including 39,000 SUVs whose owners are being told to park their vehicles outside.
Ford said that there is something causing engine fires in some 2021 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigators but they don’t know exactly what it is.

Hyundai was way ahead of Ford on recommending such an innovative solution like parking vehicles outside - except Hyundai identified the problem but didn't have a fix. If these companies think that this will protect them from lawsuits stemming from fires where vehicles are parked in a structure - well I'm betting differently and the tort lawyers are anxiously waiting.

It's interesting that it's mostly rental vehicles. I wonder what would make them different than vehicles sold to the general public.
