My 2020 XL has a basic rear view mirror, no electronics that I know of. Over time it slowly drops down. I assume there is something I can tighten and am asking if there is an easy way to get the plastic cover off. Really don't want to snap the plastic. Thanks.

There is no easy way to get the mirror housing open. The mirror's adjustment torque depends on the tension on a wrap spring that grabs onto the ball. One trick you can use instead is to adjust the mirror to the extremes and put a little nail polish on the ball. If you're brave you can adjust the mirror before it dries and move it around to spread the polish. This trick is often used in the plastic model building community when ball joints adjust too easily.
