I am setting up my Ranger for 4 wheels down towing.
I recently installed the 4 diodes (2 on each side)to the rear tail lights then routed the wires to the front of the vehicle with a 6 way plug.
My question is, What happens if I have the 6 way plugged into my RV with power going to the Rangers tail lights but then start up the Ranger. Is there a possibility of causing a high voltage (24v) to the LED's or am I overthinking things?

Hi Chris,

If you have diodes installed correctly it will still only provide 12V to the taillights. Puting two 12V sources to the taillights will still be only 12 V. No worries.
