Hello all, I'm thinking about trying to make a bustle rack style storage rack in the bed of my ranger. Thoughts are to place it similar to where the swing out tool box would go, and size it large enough to fit bits like a jug of washer fluid, cargo net, etc.. Benefits of a rack instead of a box are mostly that anything placed in it can be lashed down so it doesnt fly around as the vehicle drives. The plan overall is to start with some PVC pipe, and if i like it/ decide i need something sturdier upgrade to aluminum.
Big thing i need help with is thinking about how to mount it so it doesnt obstruct the tiedowns, or so it is easy to remove. Also thread specs for the threaded holes in the sides of the bed.
