Puddle Lights Out

I took the truck into the dealer because my stereo kept resetting. They flashed the truck and now my puddle lights aren't working. Anyone else have this issue? I've checked all the fuses, tested the lights, and made sure they were activated with Forscan. I'm out of ideas, any help would be greatly appreciated.

a couple of quick things to try:

Cycle the Bed/Cargo - Light switch, they are on the same circuit, do the bed lights and puddle lights work?

Cycle the overhead console - Rocker Switch (left) for (ON) - Do they now work?

If No

Pull and Reseat C275

If no help: Check for Power on Pin # 4 - this will check for power coming out of the BCM

Another is - As I do not recall from memory if there is a setting in the IPC Menus to turn them off, I would have to check myself in the lighting section of the menu to be sure

Yup, every other light works. Funny thing is that these were out right after the dealer flashed it. I'm probably going to have them reflash it if I can't solve it soon.

Do you have dark car mode (police or silent mode) turned on in Forscan? If so, there will be a menu in the instrument panel to select external lights on or off.

If the cargo lamps work, then there would be a wiring issue to the puddle lamps (unless both happen to be burned out). Connector C275 pin 16 is the common power feed to the puddle lamps. Could also be a problem with splice S310 or S233 in the diagram below.

Sounds like our fleet mechanics at work… Every time they “fix” an issue, we get the trucks back with something else broken. They fixed my turn signal last week and now the flasher light bar on the roof doesn’t work… Idk where they find these guys but I’m pretty sure a bunch of gorillas could do a better job lol

As for your issue, I’d take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix whatever they did. They broke it, they should be responsible for making it right.

Thank ya gents!!! Seems when Ford was troubleshooting they bent the pin down and it had no connection. I bent it back straight and now I’ve got puddle lights. Appreciate all the help.

I noted something here (FYI) ref @Ranger Bill it appears the pinouts for C275 changed, I show Pin #4 for the 2021 & Up - 2020 & Below = Pin #16, the wire color did not change.
It appears they simplified the circuit and eliminated the multiple splices and now use C275 as a single spliced source @ the connector itself

The Good News is - Whatever pin is used to other will be empty, so if pin #4 (Pin #16 will be empty) sometimes wire diagrams may or may not be truly accurate.

Note: The Cargo/ Puddle Lamps operate in 2 separate scenarios.
Door Ajar / Door Lock (Feedback) Circuit
Cargo Lamp (Switch)
The lights are on the same circuit, if the BCM commands them on - both sets (Puddle & Cargo) are on.
If only the Puddle Lamps are not working the issue is either both puddle lamps are burned out or a issue a C275

Sorry, you posted while I was looking at different wiring diagrams - Good Find and Fix
So curious was it PIn #4 or #16 for future reference.
If Pin #4 it would have had 2-wires running into each side of the connector - this is the splice
