Some months back while driving my 2020 Ranger Lariat in city traffic, the Powertrain Warning light popped up on my dash, along with the restricted speed, etc. that goes along with that. I got it in the local dealership the next morning to sort out what was going on (the truck had about 7500 miles on it at that point). Their initial reaction was it was just a glitch and they would reset some module/sensor/etc. and it would be fine. A couple of hours later that was proven not to be the case-but they did find a blown fuse, which they replaced, resulting in the warning light going away and the error code apparently resolving itself as well. They were like, here's your truck, all ready to go....except when I asked why the fuse burned out (there had to be a root cause) they looked a bit flustered that I even asked that. After a bit of discussion they said they would need to have the truck for an extended period of time to do some different testing (load testing of certain wiring harnesses was specifically mentioned) but they did not have any loaner vehicles at that time but would put me on their list and let me know when to bring it in. A couple of weeks later, the front camera system burnt out as well, causing a loss of all the front safety systems and cruise control. After waiting four months, they finally called me to bring it in, kept it a day, and they called me to let me know to pick it up. When I got there, the service department manager tells me straight out that they are not going to even try to figure out why the drivetrain fuse blew (despite their earlier promises that they could/would track it down), nor why this truck has experienced a number of electrical issues (the aforementioned front camera failure, satellite radio module burnt out, auto start/stop doesn't function, the door locks sometimes fail to unlock properly, lots of Ford App warnings that functions are being shut down to preserve battery functions (going hand in hand with the door lock issue), etc.). I have a case opened with customer service (actually, a 2nd one since they closed the first one for the same issues before it was even seen by the dealership); at their request I took it back to the dealership who just called me and said nothing's wrong since there were no codes. Has anyone experienced anything like this or have ANY insight into what might be going on with this truck? The only real connection I see between all the issues its had is that they are all electrical systems. My patience is wearing thin with the truck and with Ford's response.

They tell you what fuse was blown? That's the first question I would have asked. Will help narrow down the issue. My guess is bad harness somewhere, or a cable got pinched during build (happened to me on a brand new 2007 Ram).

Also, call Ford to complain and go to another dealership.

Yes, after I badgered them about it-it was F11 in the battery junction box. They didn't document it on the repair ticket but I made them go pull the original tech notes from when they were working on it. Unfortunately, there is only one other very small Ford dealership even remotely close to where I'm located, and they passed on trying to repair it when asked by the Ford CS rep.
