ILLIGITIMI NON ES CARBORUNDUM ….
From the real Doc in Tombstone
  • In vino veritas." — “In wine there is truth.” (Doc starts the conversation)
    • "In pace requiescat." — “Rest in peace.” (Doc finishes the exchange)

I went to a Jesuit HS - studied Latin for 3 yrs, learned how to conjugate Latin verbs, kind of useless in retrospect

From a Google powered site. https://translatiz.com/translation/latin-to-english
It translates to - YOU ARE NOT AN ILLEGIT CARBORUND (carborundum is silicon carbide crystals)

I don't get it. I think I'm a carbon life form. Capt Kirk found a few silicon life forms. They are OUT THERE!

Something along the lines of "this bong needs a carburetor and thats a conundrum" ?
I was wondering when someone experienced with cannabis would make that connection, nice pickup!

It's not really Latin, so a translator won't work.

" Illegitimi non carborundum is a mock-Latin aphorism possibly read as "Don't let the bastards grind you down". "
