Maintenance Service Plan - Pros and Cons

I live in FL so i cant get the discounted prices for ESP and PMP. might be better off opening a high yield online savings account and just put a little extra money in there every month to cover future maintenance. drive 18K miles a year so if kept it 8 years id be at roughly 144K miles

For the past couple of years, I've been buying my own oil (Mobil 1) and filter and having an independent mechanic do the service. He charges me $20 and I get to see him do it. I caught one dealer charging for a change and not doing anything.

I bought a plan for $750 bucks, an extended plan bumper to bumper for 5 years.
I bought it for mostly the electronics which my truck is full options. Added $15. Per month on my payment.
