So just reading various information on the cheaper aux lights out there (ie; Amazon) it seems the two primary complaints are the housing/lense degrading or yellowing or leaking/moisture in the housing.
In theory I could buy a lower tier end light component, disassemble it, put a solid coat of non-yellowing UV clear on the primary lense and housing and also re-sealing the housing with quality gasket components. Is this an effective way to take a garbage tier light and actually make it a solid component? I'm real hesitant to drop RIGID level money as a non-serious off roader. At the same time I don't necessarily want stuff falling a part on me or looking terrible after a short time in the elements.
I'll just toss out one of the most popular brands out there on Amazon to use as an example;
