Local Chevy Car Show

We went to a local car show at the casino this morning, it was only for Chevys and sponsored by the Classic Chevy Club Of Tucson. I wasn’t expecting much and figured there’d just be a couple dozen cars at most but was (pleasantly) surprised when we got there. There had to be more than a hundred cars and trucks and I’d say most were as good if not better than the ones we saw a Mecum a couple weeks ago. These were from 1996 and older and if you don’t like or appreciate old Chevys you can stop here.

We were talking with this gentleman for over an hour about his build. He has a binder with pictures from start to finish and told us the story on how he restored it. He did everything himself (except the paint) and it took 15 years to complete and said the parts alone were over $150,000. There’s a roll bar integrated into the headliner so he could mount the seatbelt too it and the whole interior and seats were all custom done (by him) from a 2002 Cadillac.

Nice stereo and monitor setup in the trunk. There’s a dvd player inside that plays movies through the monitor.

Notice the power windows ever for the wing windows.

Love the old cars and trucks. Wish I had the time and money to build one. They do a cruise here in St Louis three times a year. Lots of cool cars. Next cruise is in two weeks. I will see if I can grab some pictures

I love going to cruise nights. They have a really nice one up in Scottsdale every Saturday night and there's some really nice cars there especially during snowbird season. Some guys are really talented and I love talking to them about their builds and it's nice when they have them all documented for you to see.
