I just got mine yesterday and noticed the pull tab on the center of the seat. It looks like a console/cupholder design, but it doesn't pull down. Is there supposed to be a center back seat pull down?

Thanks

Hi Greg,

First, Congratulation on you new Ranger purchase....yes this strap pulls down an arm rest cup holder. Give it a good tug it is quite stiff...

The pull tab just came out when I pulled it. The tab wasn't connected to the release. A warranty visit to the dealer fixed that along with the hard to latch seat when unhooked and down.

The problem with the pull tab is that when you pull it to release the latch, the pulling action puts outward pressure on the latch and it does not want to release. The secret is to push the armrest IN with one hand and pull the tab OUT with the other. if you so that, it opens very easily.

I've found that if you push in and pull the strap DOWN towards the seat, it opens easily.

Thank you so much for this!! I picked up my Ranger yesterday and then had to work last night so I didnt get to explore it much. Was kinda freaking out today when I tried to pull that down and it didn't work. #Lifesaver
