Keyfob waterproof?

Keyfob was in pocket of jeans.. retrieved it after full wash cycle in washing machine.

Removed key ( which as soaked ) and removed back. To my surprise, the battery compartment was dry and it looks like there is a gasket like system to keep water out.
I have not proceeded any further to take apart ( besides I don’t know how ) and placed fob in bag filled with rice.

Is the internal electronic area also ‘waterproof’ ?? I.e. am I lucky?

Hi Neil,

Can't say but my fob attended a pool party with me, enjoying the cool water for several hours in my swinging trunks pocket. Still works so it must be water proof... Did not take it apart

Washed mine at least 2 times, washed my wife's key probably 100x, I can say that they are most certainly "extremely water resistant" as nothing is water proof given enough time.
